This venado alebrije is a one of a kind sculpture, carved from copal wood and entirely handmade and hand-painted. It is part of the “Floralbrijes” collection, a highly limited series that incorporates encapsulated real flowers, making each piece unique and impossible to replicate.
Inspired by Zapotec cosmology, the deer represents connection to nature, spiritual balance, and abundance. Traditionally regarded as a sacred and protective animal, it symbolizes sensitivity and serves as a guide between the earthly and spiritual realms.
Conceived as an artistic collectible, this work brings together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary visual language. The encapsulated flowers reference the endurance of nature over time, transforming the piece into an object of memory and contemplation.
